Improving diabetes care through mass detection

Details to be submitted as follows through nomination form

I. Description of the initiative with goal, objective
II. Identified need & overall outcome
III. What new / innovation have been done
IV. Can the model be scaled to benefit more patients, How?
V. Outcome of the innovative idea: Evidence of the problem or any feedback about the proposed solution?

The Award:

1. Upto 20 best innovative works in one or many of chosen areas of diabetes care across India for 2024

2. The winners will be announced & felicitation during forthcoming 52nd Annual Conference of RSSDI, the timing of the award ceremony will be communicated soon

3. The winners’ name will be mentioned on the RSSDI website until next year

4. The winners will receive the following (sponsored by USV Pvt Ltd)
    • A Medal & certificate (digitally during the event and medal will reach post-event)
    • A cash reward of Rs.25,000

Eligibility:

• An existing member of RSSDI (Office bearers of national or state chapters, executive committee members, members of the jury of this award will be exempted, those who have won RSSDI awareness award in the past won’t be eligible to apply this year)

• Non-members shall apply for membership and submit their nomination (RSSDI HQ to decide)

• Qualification:
    1. MBBS
    2. MBBS + diploma / degree in Diabetology
    3. MD /DNB & above

How to nominate:

Applicants shall submit this nomination form online.

• Applications which does have mandatory information as mentioned in nomination form will not be accepted for evaluation

• The applicant can apply for a maximum three times in lifetime to receive this once in a lifetime award. Those who receive the award this year won't be eligible from applying for future awards

• The last date of submission will be 6 weeks before the national meet; nominations reaching post that will not be accepted

Scrutiny and evaluation

• RSSDI will nominate a panel of national Jury every year to scrutinize the nominations within 2 weeks of final date of submissions.

• The national jury will evaluate the applications and submit the finalists details with RSSDI
